What is the way of FBA first shipment?
FBA first-leg transportation means that logistics companies or freight forwarders help domestic Amazon sellers to transport goods to designated warehouses in Amazon’s local market. This transportation process includes customs clearance and tax payment services. FBA first-leg transportation has the following transportation methods .
There are three main modes of transportation for FBA: FBA head sea freight, FBA air freight line and international express
1. FBA head sea freight: As we all know, international sea freight has a great advantage, that is, it is cheap. Shipping to the Amazon FBA warehouse by international shipping is generally: international shipping + local customs clearance + sending to the destination country, but the time limit is longer. The timeliness will be affected by natural weather and other aspects, resulting in a very long transportation time. For example, it takes about 45 days to arrive in the United States by sea, and even longer to Europe. Therefore, if you choose such a transportation channel, Kaiqi Supply Chain recommends that you ship in advance, or for goods that do not require high timeliness.
2. FBA air freight line: Use international air freight to transport the goods to the local area, and then use local express to transport them to the Amazon warehouse. If FBA uses the air freight line for the first journey, the cost will be more expensive, but there is a fixed flight time.
3. International express: The four major international expresses, such as DHL, UPS, Fedex, TNT, etc., generally have a good price for more than 20kg, and the time is fast, which is suitable for emergency replenishment. The US FBA first-leg express delivery is free of reservation for warehousing, but it should be noted that Amazon is not the main body of customs clearance, and is not responsible for customs clearance and tax payment. Declaration and tariff prepayment must be done in advance to prepare for local customs clearance importers.
1. Shipping
After arriving at the warehouse, they will be sorted, packed, and billed, and then packed and sent to the airport for customs clearance. After customs clearance, they can be installed and transported. In this process, the shipper needs to place an order, provide delivery information, customs clearance documents and freight.
2. Install
Load the cargo to the belly space of the aircraft or the warehouse of the cargo aircraft. After the loading is completed, the aircraft will take off according to the flight time, which may be delayed due to the weather.
3. Transportation
4. Customs clearance
After the plane arrives at the airport of the destination country, it needs to be cleared before the final delivery. The customs staff will check the goods to see if the declared information of the goods is consistent with the items.
5. Terminal delivery
After the goods are released, the terminal delivery service provider will pick up the goods and deliver the goods to the corresponding Amazon warehouse, and the entire freight process is over.
