FBA LCL means that when the received goods are not enough for a whole container, the goods are classified according to the nature, destination, and category of the goods and shipped to the same destination. At present, there are two transportation methods for FBA LCL: direct consolidation and transshipment.
Direct Consolidation: The goods in the container are loaded and unloaded at the same port without unpacking, that is, the goods are at the same port of unloading. This kind of LCL service has a short delivery period and is convenient and fast. It is recommended to choose a direct route to improve timeliness.
Transshipment: The goods in the container are not at the same destination port, and need to be unpacked and unloaded or transshipped midway. The shipping time varies with the destination port.
FBA LCL freight = basic freight, the basic freight is calculated according to the maximum value between volume (X1) and weight (X2):
Calculated by volume, X1=unit basic freight (MTQ)×total volume
Calculated by weight, X2=unit basic freight (TNE)×total weight
Weight (W): in metric tons (T), also in long tons or short tons.
Volume (M): In cubic meters or 40 cubic feet, this billing standard is often used for light foam cargo.
