What are the modes of transportation for international air cargo?
In import international logistics, international air freight logistics is an indispensable and important mode of transportation. The air transportation methods mainly include flight transportation, charter transportation, centralized consignment and air express business. As for which method of transportation to use, it still depends on what kind of goods are being transported. According to the needs of import and export commodities, the following transportation methods are mainly used:

(1) Flight transportation
Cargo transportation by aircraft flying at a fixed time, on a fixed route, and at a fixed point of origin and destination.
Usually the airliner is a mixed passenger and cargo aircraft, and some large airlines also have regular all-cargo flights. Flights have the characteristics of regular timing, fixed routes, and fixed stations. Therefore, they are suitable for transporting urgently needed items, fresh commodities, and seasonal commodities.
(2) Chartered flight transportation
The transportation in which an entire aircraft is chartered or an aircraft is jointly chartered by several consignors (or air freight forwarders) to deliver goods.
Charter flights can be divided into two forms: full charter flights and partial charter flights. The former is suitable for transporting large quantities of goods, while the latter is suitable for the transportation of goods with multiple consignors and the destination of the goods is the same place.

(3) centralized consignment
The air freight company forms a whole batch of goods that are shipped separately (each consignor shall issue an air waybill), and uses a master waybill (attached to the waybill) to ship the whole batch to the intended destination, where the airline The agent receives the goods, declares at customs, and distributes them to the actual consignee.
The freight rate of centralized consignment is 7%~10% lower than the airliner freight rate announced by the International Air Transport Association. Therefore, the consignor is more willing to hand over the goods to the air cargo company for arrangement.
(4) Air express delivery
The air express small package is a courier service provided by the courier company and the airline company to the owner of the individual small package. The express company sends a special person to pick up the goods from the consignor, and then ships the goods on the fastest flight to the local airport. After picking up the goods at the airport, they will be delivered directly to the consignee after completing the customs clearance procedures.
